Kelsi is the VP of Product Management of APEXA, and is responsible for leading the internal team to implement APEXA’s product roadmap with a focus on creating solutions to the problems faced by our advisors.
As Director, Training, Barb is responsible for developing and executing the APEXA training strategy, enabling our clients to become APEXperts and receive maximum value out of the system. Barb brings to the APEXA team over 20 years Insurance Industry experience plus expertise in Learning Design, Project Management, and Change Management.
Before joining APEXA, Barb’s roles included Manager, Learning & Development at ivari and Director of Training at Insight Decision Solutions, an insurance data warehousing company.
Barb holds a Certificate in Adult Education from Brock University.
In her spare time Barb enjoys a variety of activities from reading, to traveling, to simply enjoying delicious food and wine.
Bonnie is a Business Analyst for APEXA, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support APEXA’s clients. Bonnie’s experience in software implementation and support spans over 10 years, where she has developed her expertise around business analysis and intelligence, software documentation and process improvement.
Prior to APEXA, Bonnie held a wide range of work experiences, which include consulting and data conversion. Through these range of experiences, Bonnie has fueled her passion of consistent and continuous learning and is a firm believer of taking accountability in everything that you do.
Bonnie holds a Marketing diploma from Seneca College and a SQL Server Certification.
In her spare time, Bonnie enjoys walking, biking and rollerblading through the variety of neighbourhoods in Toronto. She is also guilty of being a Netflix enthusiast.
Chantel is a Senior Business Analyst for APEXA, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support APEXA’s clients. Chantel’s seven years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry has helped her develop her expertise in finance, treasury and ERP system implementations and solutions.
Prior to APEXA, she worked in the Integrated Financial Solution group at Manulife, where she collaborated within a small team to manage the financial reporting and cash operations infrastructure for the company.
Chantel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University and is currently working towards her CBAP designation. She has seven years of experience working as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry with a primary focus on Finance, Treasury and ERP system implementations and solutions.
In her free time, she enjoys travelling, playing with her dog and spending time with friends.
Mariah is the Sales and Communications Specialist at APEXA. In her role, Mariah is responsible for developing insightful content, including blog posts, videos, and articles to help grow the APEXA brand and increase awareness of industry-related topics.
Prior to joining the APEXA team, Mariah held a similar role at Kingsdale Advisors, a prominent financial services firm. Before Kingsdale she held the position of Associate Producer at the CBC News Network, working on the popular business show, The Lang and O’Leary Exchange.
Mariah holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Concordia University and speaks French fluently.
In her spare time, Mariah likes to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and often heads up to Algonquin Park where she enjoys hiking, canoeing, and kayaking. Mariah loves to travel, and her favourite destination is Paris.
As a Client Implementation Lead, Megan is responsible for creating and executing client project plans by leading clients from project kick-off to implementing the APEXA system.
Megan’s six years of insurance industry experience began with AIG where she held roles as Private Client Group Underwriter and Broker Licensing Specialist. Megan brings with her expertise in licensing compliance, process analysis & improvement, contracting, and underwriting.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political and Gender Studies from Queens University.
In her spare time Megan enjoys physical and cultural activities that include Yoga, cooking, and wine tasting.
As a Client Support Specialist, Eleisha is responsible for providing support to APEXA partners and backup for document validating.
Eleisha's six years of insurance industry experience began with Empire Life where she held the role of Distribution Services Specialist. Eleisha brings with her expertise in contracting, customer service, training, and client support.
Eleisha holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University with a concentration in Finance and a Minor in Psychology.
In her spare time, Eleisha enjoys gardening, biking, yoga, and spending time in nature. Eleisha is an animal lover and activist who practices mindfulness and energy healing techniques.
Sebastien Rocco is the Sales & Relationship Manager for APEXA. In his role as Sales & Relationship Manager, Sebastien is responsible for creating new client relationships and nurturing existing ones.
Sebastien’s experience in the life insurance industry spans over 10 years. He has worked in several sales roles and his areas of expertise include market research, problem solving, and sales. Prior to APEXA, Sebastien worked as a Regional Sales Consultant for Travelance and as an independent account manager.
Sebastien has his LLQP license and is a part of the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario. In addition, he has also earned his MBA.
In his spare time, Sebastien is an avid fan of plants, gardening, and triathlons.
Sarah Sheppard is a Client Implementation Lead for APEXA. In her role as Client Implementation Lead, Sarah is responsible for creating and executing client project plans by leading clients from project kick-off to implementing the APEXA system.
Sarah’s experience in the life insurance industry spans over 10 years. She has held several management positions and her areas of expertise include insurance sales support, new business case management, compliance, and project planning. Prior to APEXA, Sarah worked at IDC Worldsource as a Customer Relationship Manager and Manulife as a New Business Case Manager.
Sarah earned a degree in Legal Business Administration from Eastern College and an LLQP from Seneca College and the Nova Scotia Department of Finance.
In her spare time, Sarah is an avid fan of travelling, gardening, reading, and live music.
